To be healthy doesn't mean only to have flat abs and lean muscles. It means burning the fat and shaping our body, and not losing weight through losing muscle mass. The best way to lose weight healthy is to speed up our metabolism.
If you speed up your metabolism or increase the amount of energy that you consume for a particular time, then the next time you sit in front of the TV, you'll burn 100 calories, and not just 1. All you have to do are just simple changes in your habits and you will get the results you've waited for so long.
1. Meal - time
Generally, if you skip the breakfast, your body will burn few calories and so you will still have storage until your next meal. On the other hand, if you have a solid breakfast, this would jump-start your metabolism, and it will keep this rhythm throughout the whole day.
What you need is a good, nutritional breakfast, filled up with fiber, lean protein, fresh fruits or vegetabls. Compared to fats, the carbs need more time to be absorbed by the body. This makes you feel full for longer, or at least until your next meal.
Eating late in the evening and midnight snacks should be avoided, because you don't have physical activity while you sleep and at this point your metabolism is very slow. This means that the food can turn into storage of fats instead of energy.
2. Several meals a day
It is better to consume 5-6 smaller meals than the three large ones. This keeps your metabolism active and helps you feel full during the whole day. The chance that you overeat at lunch or dinner is very low, if you have a late breakfast or some healthy snack between meals.
It is recommended that you eat something every 3-4 hours. Your lunch and dinner should consist mostly of lean protein and fresh vegetables. A low-fat yoghurt or a fresh fruit can be your between-meals snack.
3. Use spices
Spices can increase the metabolism levels since they give off stress hormones such as adrenalin. Especially the hot spices are proven to burn more calories. This doesn't mean to consume hot Chinese food – the key is to spice up a healthy meal, such as adding some chilli to your soup for dinner or some pepper to the tofu for lunch.
Hot peppers are also used in the most modern supplements for weight loss. One of the most successful examples is Capsiplex, which is based on dried chilli peppers!

4. Always count calories
Counting calories is boring and confusing, however it is one of the basics of the successful weight loss. Don't forget that your body will always try to compensate for the lack of enough calories for its daily functions, which would result in slowing down your metabolism. If you reduce your calorie intake to about 1000 calories a day, this would not lead to weight loss, as you expect, but rather to health problems and slowing down of your metabolism.
5. Drink water
One of the most common mistakes in the modern society is that people don't drink enough water. The metabolism needs water, in order to absorb the food. If you want to speed up your metabolism, you will have to drink more water. The recommended amount is at least 8 glasses or 2l of water daily, and if you exercise regularly, then you'll have to add at least 1-2 more glasses a day.
Skip the cocktail or the beer during lunch or dinner – don't forget that it is the water and not the alcohol that builds about 60% of your body. Moreover, if you drink alcohol regularly, your organism burns the alcohol first and then the food, and if it doesn't absorb correctly the food, it'll turn into fat.
6. Sweat!
Choose a fitness program that has a good variety of exercises. Your program should be balanced – you may not want to do weight trainings, or cardio, but the truth is you need them both. The weight trainings increase the metabolic levels even if you are resting. If you have enough muscle density, then you can burn 100 calories even while watching TV, as the muscles burn more calories than fats. Combine cardio with weight trainings to get lean.
7. Have a good sleep!
Sleep is not only good for your health, but also for your good physical condition. If you don't sleep regularly, your body doesn't function as it should be. If your body is tired, it doesn't have enough energy to burn calories. If you are tired, you also get stressed more easily. When this happens your body releases a great amount of stress hormones, which increase your appetite and produce more fat. If you exercise regularly and have a balanced diet, the good sleep shouldn't be a problem for you.
8. Choose an appropriate weight loss supplement
Many weight loss supplements tend to claim that they boost up metabolism. Unfortunately for the majority of the products on the market this is a pure myth. You have to be careful when choosing a supplement that is claimed to be a metabolism booster, as many of them require either very high physical activity or contain ingredients that can actually harm your metabolism in normal circumstances. Don't miss to check our recommendation for a top product, that is safe from any side effects, all natural, and one of its functions is to speed up metabolism –
